Things To Note When Purchasing A Disposable Digital Camera

Disposable digital cameras are identical to regular digital cameras in every aspect except one - you are not able to retrieve photographs from a disposable digital camera on your own. In order to do that, you will have to have your photographs processed at a specialist store. This will usually be the same store from which you purchased your disposable digital camera, although there are some chains that offer this service at any and all of their outlets.

Some of the optional features found in disposable digital cameras are the ability to delete unwanted shots and an included preview screen. Most disposable digital cameras are very compact, and those models that do include a preview screen offer users a 1.4 inch color screen. They are extremely simple to operate, and some even have operating instructions printed the rear casing of the camera around the viewing screen for your convenience.

Disposable digital cameras have an image resolution of 2-megapixels, which is sufficient for casual photography. Most also feature a 10-second timer for those shots where you wish to include yourself in the picture. An automatic flash is also included for your convenience, so you do not have to waste time adjusting the flash. Some people may see this as a disadvantage, however, as they are unable to turn the flash on or off as they desire.

Disposable digital cameras are similar to standard point-and-shoot cameras in every respect except photo processing. This is where your expense comes in. In order to process your photographs, you must return the disposable digital camera to the store, which will then print your photographs or store them on a disc along with a simple program that can be used to send your pictures over e-mail. Interestingly enough, the camera is not then disposed of, but is repackaged and sold again. This is what allows companies to sell a digital camera that is probably worth $50 to $100 at the relatively low price of $20.

While the quality of images from a disposable digital camera is higher than that of images from a traditional film camera, disposable digital cameras are only able to hold a limited number of images. Currently, the maximum number of photographs that you can store in a disposable digital camera is 25. Cheaper disposable cameras can be bought that do nto include the LCD preview screen. These cameras are better suited to those who do not wish to review their photographs but still want the ability to delete unwanted images. As time passes, the pricing or disposable digital cameras is sure to become more competitive and the amount of included storage capacity is likely to increase as well.

Don't take another digital picture until you read this book! Someone has finally gotten into the "secret files" of top photographers and is sharing the information for the first time ever!
